Kulithalai is a town on the south bank of River Cauvery in India. It houses the famous Shiva temple 'Kadambar kovil' a Thevara sthalam. A taluk head quarters of Tamil Nadu, Kulithalai is a big town on the railway between Tiruchirappalli and Karur. From here one can visit Ayyarmalai Rathnagiri Eshwarar hill temple also known as Vaatpokki 6km away.
